A Little History About Our School

The origins of Hague Bar Primary School stretch all the way back to 1854, with a school which was in existence at the Strines Print Works. That school closed on the 2nd of May 1879, and relocated to Hague Bar. The doors to the new school officially opened on the 5th of May 1879.

Hague Bar Primary School is just inside the Derbyshire border. It lies between the town of New Mills in Derbyshire and Strines in Cheshire. The school is situated on the edge of the countryside and enjoys stunning views of fields and distant hills.

Hague Bar Primary School has a highly successful academic record, an enterprising curriculum and a well-deserved reputation for exemplary behaviour amongst the pupils. Copies of Ofsted reports are available from the school office, and online https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/21/112598.

We are proud of, and celebrate, the achievements of our children, both in and out of the classroom, and we are here to help your child make the most of their potential.
