In Year Transfers/Admissions

In the first instance, it is advised to broach any issue with your child's current school.  If, after doing so, you would still like your child to attend Hague Bar Primary School then the Derbyshire In Year Admissions webpage is here.  Most year groups have capacity for new children.  We often welcome children mid-year and mid Key Stage so we are adept at the transition process for settling your child.  Derbyshire County Council also can help your application over the phone 01629 537479.

Can My Child Attend Hague Bar Primary?

Yes.  Even if you live in Cheshire East, Stockport or Tameside your child can, and is very welcome to, attend our school.  We have several parents/children who do not live in our catchment area but choose to attend Hague Bar Primary School.  It is advised you inform your residential local authority.  You may apply to Derbyshire at the same time.  Please go to this webpage to complete the process. Derbyshire County Council can help you over the phone too on 01629 537479.

Our Covid19 Response

From March 23rd 2020, Hague Bar Primary School provided all children with daily online access to their teachers and lessons.  School remained open to Key Worker children including during the Easter holidays. For older KS2 children, teachers provided 3 live online lessons daily.  In June we were open for apx 50% of our children and since September, we have welcomed back all of our children.  We are operating a safe but age appropriate whole school re-opening, where learning and enjoyment are maintained even during these difficult times.
