Parent Teacher Association

The PTA arranges events for parents and children, with the emphasis on having fun while fundraising! Our big money-raising events are the Christmas and Summer Fairs, but we also organise other events. The money raised from such events goes towards making the school environment an even more pleasant place for the children - funding items such as new computers for the children, furnishings, playground/P.E. items, Christmas parties and entertainment/educational visits for children.  You can easily raise money when you shop by going via EasyFundraising which will donate a percentage of your spend directly to us.  We are a friendly and informal group and any parent is very welcome to get involved.

Transport

There is a public bus service to and from Hague Bar School; this is the service which runs between Hayfield and Marple, via Newtown Railway Station and New Mills Bus Station. The driver keeps a watchful eye on our children and knows where each child leaves the bus on the homeward journey. A teacher or teaching assistant escorts the children to the bus each afternoon and sees them safely on board.
